Time Traveling with Jewelry When I think back on the different eras of jewelry, I remember in the 1950's playing with my Mom's jewelry, walking around with strands of beaded necklaces. Then when I became a teenager, taking the brave step of piercing my ears. Most of the jewelry I remember from that time were studs, simple and sweet. Then in the 1960's, I had lots of plastic earrings, dangles with flower power. In the 1970's, I fell in love with the 1928 Jewelry Co. brand and had loads of the delicate Victorian style collar pins, earrings and choker necklaces. In the 1980's I remember the shows "Dallas" and "Dynasty". The women on those shows wore the big bold chunky earrings that were such power statements. I was never that crazy about the big hoops or chandelier style earrings - I was always afraid I would catch them on something and tear my earlobe off. Ouch!
